Ex-Miss Korea Han Sung-joo Sued for Assault

Miss Korea 1994 and former SBS presenter Han Sung-joo is being sued for assault. The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said Thursday that Taiwanese-American Christopher Hsu filed a suit against Han in a Korean court on Wednesday through a Korean lawyer. Hsu is seeking W500 million (US$1=W1,155) in compensation.

Hsu in his written complaint says Han and other members of her family assaulted him at her home in Seoul in March after he threatened during a heated argument to make their amorous relationship public. They falsely imprisoned him and forced him to sign a statement saying he was "responsible for everything".

Hsu says Han used three of his credit cards and ran up a W340 million bill, buying an W80 million Hermes watch and a W20 million handbag.

Han's lawyer denied the charge, saying Hsu broke into Han's home and threatened her with a pair of scissors to continue their relationship, prompting her to call family members for help.

James Franco

Did James Franco get an NYU professor fired?

in a lawsuit against his former employer.

Santana gave Franco a D in “Directing the Actor II” because the Hollywood star only attended two of the 14 classes.

Santana was later fired, and he thinks NYU was simply pandering to the actor/director/student/poet.

"The school has bent over backwards to create a Franco-friendly environment, that’s for sure," Santana told the New York Post. "The university has done everything in its power to curry favor with James Franco."

So what else supports his claims of a shady Franco-NYU relationship?

Franco hired Jay Anania, another one of his professors, to write and direct “William Vincent,” which starred Franco.

Moreover, John Tintori, the chairman of the graduate film department at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts also made a cameo in a film financed by Franco.

Now the casual link between Santana’s firing and this cozy Franco-NYU connection has to be dealt with in court.

Elsewhere, awards-season frontrunner The Artist turned in a relatively modest performance with only one award for Best Art Direction & Production Design.

Judy Greer Weds Dean Johnson

Judy Greer Ties the Knot

Judy Greer weds Real Time with Bill Maher producer Dean Johnson! The couple said their 'I Do's' this past Saturday, People has confirmed, in front of approximately 200 friends at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

A source tells the magazine that some of the invited guests included Rashida Jones, Bill Maher and Jason Biggs and "The couple looked amazing! The ceremony was filled with laughter amongst friends. Both the bride and groom seemed to have an amazing time celebrating the evening."

Judy is that sidekick comic relief in most likely, every film you've ever seen that you've ultimately loved and have gotten addicted to. Some of her most memorable roles have come from The Wedding Planner, 13 Going on 30, Love and Other Drugs and 27 Dresses. She's also appeared in a slew of television shows that include The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development and most recently Two and a Half Men.

Having recently chatted with The Descendants actress, the wedding news comes as a wonderful surprise. The actress is completely down to earth and is truly appreciative for all the work she's gotten to do over the years. She's one of those actresses that's so good at what she does, that she doesn't need to be labeled one of the biggest talents out there. Her fans and the roles she continues to choose prove that enough.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

'X-Men: Wolverine' Pirate Sentenced to Year in Federal Prison

The New York man who admitted to uploading an unfinished copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine to the Internet has been sentenced to one year in federal prison, the U.S. attorney's office said Monday.
Gilberto Sanchez, who said he bought a copy of the 2009 Hugh Jackman superhero movie on a street corner near his home in the Bronx, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Margaret Morrow, who described his actions as "extremely serious."

"The federal prison sentence handed down in this case sends a strong message of deterrence to would-be Internet pirates," U.S. attorney Andre Birotte Jr. said in a statement. "The Justice Department will pursue and prosecute persons who seek to steal the intellectual property of this nation."
The Sanchez case received a ton of attention in 2009 because the unfinished print of the entire Wolverine film had appeared online about a month before its theatrical release. The 20th Century Fox movie ended up grossing $373 million worldwide, leading some observers to debate whether the leak impacted (or even added to) its overall performance.
STORY: 'Wolverine' Pirate Pleads Guilty to Copyright Infringement
Sanchez pleaded guildy in March to one count of uploading a copyrighted work being prepared for commercial distribution. He admitted he put the workprint of the film on Megaupload.com in March 2009 and publicized the posting on other websites.
"Although Fox was able to get defendant's Wolverine workprint removed from his Megaupload account within approximately one day, by then, the damage was done and the film had proliferated like wildfire throughout the Internet, resulting in up to millions of infringements," prosecutors said in court documents.
The original source of the Wolverine workprint has never been revealed.

Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean Weds

It's pretty customary for most men to take a back seat when it comes to wedding planning. But Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean has admitted to being a very involved "groomzilla."

"I'm hands-on," he told PEOPLE in April about planning his goth-themed evening ceremony, which took place under a clear tent on the Crystal Lawn on Saturday at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

McLean, 33, and bride Rochelle DeAnna Karidis exchanged vows under a gazebo adorned with white hydrangeas, while guests were surrounded by warm elements like romantic chandeliers.
Before the ceremony, McLean, who wore a red bow tie, hung with his grooms men and "looked happy and excited," says a guest.

McLean even Tweeted in the days leading up to the event. "Wedding is tomorrow," he wrote Friday. "Ro and I could barely sleep last night. I think we're a little excited."

After the intimate ceremony, it was on to the Crystal ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Preparing to add to the McLean clan, the singer and Karidis moved from Hollywood to the Valley earlier this year because it offered more space, "to raise a family," he said in the Spring. But he is in no rush to hear the pitter patter of little feet just yet. "I think we'll be married for about three years before we have kids," he added.
