Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean Weds

It's pretty customary for most men to take a back seat when it comes to wedding planning. But Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean has admitted to being a very involved "groomzilla."

"I'm hands-on," he told PEOPLE in April about planning his goth-themed evening ceremony, which took place under a clear tent on the Crystal Lawn on Saturday at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

McLean, 33, and bride Rochelle DeAnna Karidis exchanged vows under a gazebo adorned with white hydrangeas, while guests were surrounded by warm elements like romantic chandeliers.
Before the ceremony, McLean, who wore a red bow tie, hung with his grooms men and "looked happy and excited," says a guest.

McLean even Tweeted in the days leading up to the event. "Wedding is tomorrow," he wrote Friday. "Ro and I could barely sleep last night. I think we're a little excited."

After the intimate ceremony, it was on to the Crystal ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Preparing to add to the McLean clan, the singer and Karidis moved from Hollywood to the Valley earlier this year because it offered more space, "to raise a family," he said in the Spring. But he is in no rush to hear the pitter patter of little feet just yet. "I think we'll be married for about three years before we have kids," he added.
