John Dies at the End
This Must Be the Place, John Dies at the End, Oslo, August 31st and Predisposed have been added to the program of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, which will take place January 19-29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
The Sundance 2012 program will now feature 117 films, including 91 world premieres.
From writer-directors Philip Dorling and Ron Nyswaner, Predisposed stars Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan in a comedy about a piano prodigy dealing with his troubled mother and a hapless drug dealer on the day of an important audition for a prestigious music program. It will screen in the Premieres section.
The Norwegian film Oslo, August 31st from director Joachim Trier, who wrote the screenplay with Eskil Vogt, follows a man in deep existential crisis over 24 hours in the title city. Paolo Sorrentino's This Must Be the Place, which stars Sean Penn as a retired rock star seeking his father's Nazi executioner, will have its North American premiere at the festival. Both movies will screen in the Spotlight section.
Don Coscarelli's John Dies at the End has been added to the Park City at Midnight section. The film concerns two guys who get tangled up with a drug called Soy Sauce that allows users to drift across time and dimensions.
